由中国通信企业协会通信网络运维专业委员会主办、中国通信运维网承办的“第四届中国通信网络运维年会”于11月20日、21日在南粤苑宾馆召开。以下为安德鲁电信器材（中国）有限公司苏州工厂厂长James Warren Beckmann在大会上的演讲实录。

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
First of all, I really appreciate the invitation form the COMCW organizing committee, that I come here today for ANDREW to receive the award of “Best Service Teamwork”. On behalf of ANDREW, I’d like to express my sincere thanks to COMCW and the distinguished guests present on this occasion! The award has recognized as the superior and stable performance of ANDREW products and services in the series of natural disasters in 2008, such as the snow disaster in South China and Wenchuan Earthquake. I am proud of the company and my colleagues.
ANDREW Wireless Solution was founded in 1937. During the development over 70 years, we not only provide products and services to the field of the traditional wireless network, but also 3G technology, wireless voice, data, video and wireless Internet services and special application solutions for microwave, radar and HF communication system. ANDREW’s distinctive lightning bolt logo has become a symbol of superb quality, and always given the greatest confidence to customers no matter on the cliff peak of the Arctic or the coastline with typhoon with a magnitude of 12.
ANDREW has grown up in China step by step in the past 40 years. Since 1970s, ANDREW has been engaged in the business partnership with Chinese customers. Thirty-six years ago, former US president Richard Nixon became the first US president ever to visit China. This historic moment was shared with the whole world via ANDREW antennas. The formal entry of ANDREW into China happened in 1997, with a total investment amount exceeding 140 million US dollars. ANDREW has established two manufacturing factories in Suzhou and Shenzhen, as well as sales branches and logistics centers in places as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hongkong, and Chinese R&D centers in Suzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen. In July 2006, ANDREW announced its participation in the TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance then it has become the first foreign member of the Alliance. Supported by the strength of its development over a decade, multinationals such as ANDREW enjoying great government support have established long-term solid cooperative relationships with local partners and customers. In addition, ANDREW has nurtured a pool of local R&D talents and accumulated extensive experience. Our products and technologies have been widely applied in important projects such as nationwide 2G and 3G networks, Beijing Airport Express, National Center for the Performing Arts and Beijing-Tianjin Railway Express.
The year 2008 is extraordinary for China and all people living in China. ANDREW, as a multinational earnestly devoted to the localization promise, has experienced joy and challenge with the Chinese partners.
At the beginning of 2008, South China encountered the most severe blizzard in 50 years. To assist rush-repair plan of China Mobile, ANDREW dispatched technical staff at the first moment to join the post-disaster reconstruction group of Hunan MCC Chenzhou Branch, bringing technical instructions and personnel support. Our young engineers carrying the instrument of 74kg requested to join the first line rush-repair group, arrived at the toughest front line, crossed mountains after mountains for over 10 hours in a day, worked together with the technical counterparts of Hunan MCC to test, diagnose and maintain the equipment at base stations one by one. After the 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake, we responded to the call of China Mobile in the shortest time, donated equipment and technology and actively participated to rescue immediately.
As an honest partner of major operators in the China communication industry, ANDREW is responsible for the construction of superb communication network in China. ANDREW has been committed to the communication field for 70 years and boasts superior technologies. On the field of post-disaster reconstruction, we witnessed the excellent performance of ANDREW products under such rare disaster weather. We will contribute our experience and technologies and make concerted efforts with major operators to maintain and construct high quality communication network for the Chinese market and consumers.

    安德鲁无线通信公司成立于上世纪30年代，在70多年的发展中，我们不仅服务于传统无线通信领域，涵盖3G技术、无线语音、无线数据、无线视频，及无线互联网服务，以及微波雷达H2信息系统，安德鲁闪电标志已经成为了卓越品质的象征。无论是北极的悬崖之巅，或者是台风12级的海岸线上，我们都给用户最大的保障。安德鲁在中国发展已经40年，上世纪70年代，安德鲁已经在中国开展业务。

    36年前，尼克松作为首位美国总统访华，这次历史性的事务，通过安德鲁的通信设备与全球共享。1997年安德鲁正式进入中国，投资总额超过了1.4亿美金，在苏州设立了设备工厂，在深圳、广州、上海有办公室，中国的研发中心分别设于苏州、上海、深圳。2007年安德鲁宣布加入了TD-SCDMA产业联盟，成为的联盟唯一的外商。我们的技术和产品在全国各地的2G、3G网络中广泛使用。北京机场快线、国家大剧院、京津铁路快线均采用安德鲁产品。

    2008年对于所有的中国人都是极不平凡的一年，安德鲁作为一个实现本土化的跨国公司，与所有的中国人共同经历了这一年的喜悦及挑战。

    2008年初中国50年以来最恶劣的暴雪天气，安德鲁派出了人员计划投入中国移动的灾后重建业务，为中国移动的灾后重建提供的技术指导和支援。我们的年轻职员背负着沉重的行李，主动要求加入工作，我们在各个基站进行诊断、检测、维护。“5.12”四川地震，我们积极相应中国移动的号召，捐助物资积极抗震救灾。

    作为中国电信产业的忠实合作伙伴，对于中国建设卓越品质的通信网络，安德鲁责无旁贷。安德鲁持续70年代专注通信领域，拥有超凡的技术，在灾后重建的现场，我们共同见证了安德鲁产品经历无数次灾害性天气的考验。我们今后将不遗余力地为中国市场贡献我们的经验和技术，为广大消费者提供最优质的通信网络。谢谢！
