　　中国卫星通信集团公司（简称中国卫通）是2001年12月19日正式挂牌成立的国有大型骨干企业，是我国六大基础电信运营企业之一。中国卫通下设30个省级分公司和17个全资、控股、参股企业。

　　ChinaSatelliteCommunicationsfounded on December 19th, 2001, is a state-owned backbone enterprise and has become one of the sixth basic telecom operators in China. 

　　中国卫通逐步形成占据优势的卫星资源网络。2005年，“中星9号”直播卫星和“中星6B”通信广播卫星先后经国务院批准立项建设。中星6B卫星和中星9号直播卫星将增强中国卫通在中国通信广播电视市场上的技术装备实力,以最新的卫星技术满足广大人民对卫星通信和广播电视节目传输服务的最新需求。

　　ChinaSat gradually develops into having advantageous satellite resource network. In 2005, “ChinaSat 9”direct broadcast satellite and “ChinaSat 6B” telecommunication satellite projects were approved by the State Council.“ChinaSat 6B”and “ChinaSat 9”direct broadcast satellite will enhance the technology equipments abilities in Chinese telecommunication TV-broadcast market for ChinaSat, satisfy the latest requirements to the satellite telecommunications and broadcast programmes transmission services by the latest satellite technologies. 

　　中国卫通为满足我国宽带互联网发展需求,建设了低成本、高容量宽带卫星系统。该系统将卫星通信与基于IP的宽带业务相结合，能够与地面宽带网络互为备份和补充，可向国内用户提供包括互联网宽带接入、话音、数据、视频和多媒体在内的综合信息服务。

　　ChinaSat has constructedlow cost and high capacity bandwidth satellite system to satisfy Chinese Broadband Internet development requirements. This system connects the satellite telecommunication and IP-based broadband service, which will be complementary to territorial broadband network, providing Internet broadband access, voice, data, video and other multimedia integrated information services. ChinaSat has opened Beijing and GuangZhou stations, covering South China and North China.

　　此外，中国卫通与有关方面合作正在开发建设拥有自主知识产权的卫星移动多媒体广播系统，这个项目被国家发改委列为信息产业关键技术产业化专项。

　　Besides,ChinaSatisconstructing the satellite mobile multimedia broadcast system for Intellectual Property Rights. The project ranked as the key technology project in China’s information industry by the State Development and Reform Commission recently.

　　数字集群通信网络建设初具规模。中国卫通积极推进国产数字集群的商用和技术试验，在天津、济南、南京和上海等地建成了基本覆盖市区和近郊的数字集群业务网络，形成了区域应急通信和指挥调度通信保障能力，为政府公共管理和港口、物流、交通等领域提供了专业调度指挥通信服务。同时，中国卫通数字集群通信成功地为第十届全国运动会、上海APEC会议、F1赛事、天津亚欧37国财长会议等重大会议和赛事活动提供了通信保障，极大地提高了指挥调度的工作效率，经受了重大活动对数字集群调度通信的考验。目前，中国卫通数字集群通信网已实现上海、天津、济南、南京、青岛和潍坊等城市的覆盖。近期将初步实现环渤海、长江三角洲和珠江三角洲地区的覆盖,最终实现全国覆盖。

　　Digital trunking communicationsystem has developed as well. ChinaSat would like to push the commercial user and technology test of domestic digital trunking aggressively, and has basically built the digital trunking service network covering city and suburb in TianJin, JiNan, NanJing and ShangHai, forming the safeguard ability for Emergency Communication and command scheduling communication, providing professional scheduling command communication services for governmental public management, port and traffic sphere. At the same time, ChinaSat’s digital trunking communication has successfully provided telecommunication safeguard for many important conferences such as 10th National Games, APEC meeting in ShangHai, F1 competition, ASEM Finance Ministers’ Meeting in TianJin, improving the scheduling efficiency greatly and experiencing the fateful trial. At present, ChinaSat digital trunking communication network has realized the coverage to many cities such as ShangHai, TianJin, JiNan, NanJing, QingDao and WeiFang. And recently it will try to take coverage to BoHai Sea around, ChangJiang Delta and ZhuJiang Delta, finally realizing the nationwide coverage.

　　ChinaSat will actively conform with the trend of satellite telecommunication broadcast technology developments, and zealously boost the construction of satellite direct broadcast, satellite mobile telecommunication, broadband multimedia satellite telecommunication and digital trunking network and service in the course of multimedia integrated information service and “amalgamation of three network”. Meanwhile, ChinaSat will fully improve the guarantee ability of the satellite telecommunication broadcast TV and digital trunking emergent communication services, and integrate the network resource efficiently, in order to form an overwhelmed space-earth resource network to provide good service, so that the company will has its good future as well.
